The proper care and purification of quench oils is essential to maintaining today’s expensive heat treat furnace and insuring that part metallurgical properties are being met. Fine sediment contamination is a leading cause of quench oil poor performance and can lead to an outright failure of the quench oil to perform as intended. In addition, water contamination can lead to:

• irregular quenching conditions surface
• intrained foam
• potential fires or explosions

SRS’s onsite Quench Oil Reclamation Program all but eliminates the risk of quench oil failure due to contamination. The program monitors the oil operating conditions and performance to determine the frequency and degree of contamination of removal.
